About Me
I go by /æʃli/ aka. Ashley. As far as my surname goes, I prefer the pronunciation of /ɪpoʊlitoʊ/ aka. Ippolito not /ɜpoʊlitoʊ / or /əpoʊlitoʊ/. I am a Southern California girl by heart, but I have a large family influence from the East Coast, therefore I slip into a somewhat regional dialect of Upstate New York on occasion. My family is greatly comprised of Italians, and we sure do love our homemade sauce. Yes, I have a big family. I am the daughter of two amazing parents, and the oldest of four children.
I am really monolingual in English, but I have some background in Spanish. Conversely, who doesn't know at least the basics living in Southern California.
When I am not learning, I am most likely to have my nose in a book, or becoming overly obsessed with the latest medical drama, a new Netflix original, or nostalgic drama from the early 2000s. Can you consider the ability to binge-watch a superpower? To be fair, I have racked up over 600,000 minutes of television in the past 7 years or so totaling 136 fully watched shows. I have a creative outlet that is fueled through drawing, bullet journaling, calligraphy, inspirational quotes, D.I.Y. project, and 246-word fill-it-ins.
I feel like you can tell a lot about a person based on the music they listen to. So, I share with you that I am generally pretty diverse in music genres. I typically listen to a mix of country (specifically pop country), radio pop, Broadway, show tunes, a minimal amount of hip-hop electronic music, and classical.
I also think you can tell a lot about a person based on the materialistic things that one owns. So, I share with you that I am an iOS and MacOS user, and I have had a Starbucks Gold Card for the past nine years.
